Kaleidoscope
Kaleidoscope is Veneta Oregon's Community Theater troupe. Organized in 2007, this group of enthusiastic thespians, musicians and (let's just say it) hams, is growing rapidly and its members are having a heck of a good time.
Our Leader
Luanne Serio Krueger, a native of Milwaukee, WI, attended the University of Wisconsin where she was a member of the All State U of Wisconsin Music Clinic Choir and Orchestra for three years and the All City Symphony for two years. She was with the University of Wisconsin Clinic Mid Winter Reunion Orchestra University of Wisconsin/Madison where she was an integrated Liberal Studies major with concentration on writing. She also played/toured with the University Symphony.
She got started in the Barbershop world in the midst of raising her four children which occupied her for over twenty-two years as the prize winning Chorus Director of six different choruses in New York, Florida, California and British Columbia. She became an International Faculty Member and adjudicator, traveling across the world teaching, judging and coaching.
Once settled in Washington State, she left Sweet Adelines for a more diverse world of the theatre. She became the Resident Artistic Director of C.A.S.T. community theatre in Stanwood, Washington. She served as the Guest Director for the The Mountaineers in Bremerton where they performed Cinderella outdoors and mostly in the rain! She then became the Owner of Carousel Enterprises producing Fashion Shows, Community Festivals and special Holiday shows. She then took the reigns of Saratoga Trunk as Owner/Producer/Director of this Musical Theatre Revue Troupe, before - inexplicably - she decided to retire! She calls it, "The most boring retirement on record."
After moving to Colorado she became the Artistic Production Coordinator for the Carousel Dinner Theatre in Fort Collins where she created and taught Acting Workshops and Improv Classes, and then ... got homesick. So her wonderful husband Earl and she moved back to the Pacific NW where she began work as the Resident Artistic Director/Producer for The Kings Players in Edmonds Washington. She also acquired a Musical Theatre Revue Troupe called Promenade before re-settling in Veneta and breathing life into the local art world.
